Épopée Villae is an endowment fund created by Épopée Gestion to support the creation of local services and shops in small towns and villages with fewer than 5,000 inhabitants.
Épopée Villae supports companies, associations and cooperatives that have a strong economic and social impact, promote social ties, respect the environment and create jobs in the short or medium term. The project leaders collaborate with their towns and villages and have already taken steps to finance their activities (applications to corporate foundations, crowdfunding campaigns, etc.). The Épopée Villae fund finances initiatives in Brittany, Normandy, Pays de la Loire, Centre-Val de Loire and Nouvelle-Aquitaine.

The Épopée Villae fund supports the launch or expansion of services in local shops or third places. This may include setting up a coworking space, or repair café or purchasing equipment such as refrigerated counters, for example. The funding provided must represent a maximum of 20% of the total budget and be combined with other financial contributions. Each chosen project benefits from personalised support through skills-based sponsorship. The endowment fund does not participate in the acquisition of premises.
Épopée Villae is a solidarity initiative supported by contributors to the funds managed by Épopée Gestion. In addition to their traditional subscriptions, these investors participate in the financing of the endowment fund. The fund is also financed by a proportion of the Épopée Gestion management fees and carried interest.
Épopée Gestion aims to reinvest sustainably in regions, by drawing on local, entrepreneurial and financial dynamics. In addition to its investments in start-ups, private equity, sustainable real estate and low-carbon infrastructures, the company actively contributes to the economy of small towns and villages, promoting their development and resilience.
