Épopée Gestion announces the launch a new brand dedicated to the management company’s venture capital activity. With Xplore, the ambition is to bring together all the company’s expertise in financing, operational support and acceleration, in a dedicated universe tailored to the innovative companies of the French regions, in order to accelerate innovation in the region. With its two investment funds, Xplore has nearly 80 million euros at its disposal to support startups in the region and create economic, ecological and social value on a local scale. Xplore relies on the experienced venture capital team of Épopée Gestion, which remains unchanged.
Xplore, a brand dedicated to innovation in French regions
Since its creation in 2020, Épopée Gestion has been active in four areas: venture capital, private equity, sustainable real estate and low-carbon infrastructure. With the creation of Xplore, Épopée Gestion aims to foster innovation in the regions by setting up a full ecosystem dedicated to development and deployment of innovative companies in the French regions.
Xplore inherits all expertise of the West Web Festival, created in 2012 to support digital startups in Brittany, and goes even further! Xplore’s mission is to support innovative startups, not just digital ones, in all French regions, not just in Brittany.
The xplore.vc website launched on this occasion gives a prominent place to the talents that are shaping the future of the regions.
Investment power to reveal regional talent
Ambitious and daring companies are emerging from all corners of the French regions, ready to create a positive impact. Xplore’s mission is to support them and bring them to light. With its two funds (West Web Valley 1 and Épopée West Web Valley II), Xplore has a total investment capacity of 80 million euros to finance, support and accelerate innovative startups wherever they are. Xplore’s ambition is to become the “one-stop shop” for economic players in the West of France for all their financing and growth needs. Xplore will invest from €0.2m to €2m in sectors such as fintech, agritech, agri-food, healthcare, marine, distribution, logistics…
Eventually, the West Web Valley 1 & and Épopée West Web Valley II funds will be renamed Xplore I and Xplore II.
A regional team of passionate entrepreneurs and experienced investors at the service of startups
Led by Charles Cabillic, co-founder of Épopée Gestion, the team is based in four offices (Brest, Bordeaux, Nantes and Paris) close to local ecosystems, ensure a close presence for local innovators and help them reach new horizons.
The team is made up of two experienced investors, Camille Le Roux Larsabal and Vladimir Bolze, assisted by Laurent Dumas-Crouzillac, who cover the entire French regions. Perrine Albrieux manages the acceleration to help portfolio companies move through the stages more quickly and support them in their ESG strategy. Sébastien Le Corfec leads a complete ecosystem of meetings and events to deploy the strength and visibility of our companies.
