Mansio accelerates its expansion with the acquisition of AZ Métal

The M53 Group has now adopted the name Mansio, marking a new stage in its growth trajectory. Specializing in selective sorting solutions, waste collection, and hygiene equipment made in France, Mansio announces the acquisition of AZ Métal, an SME recognized for its expertise in the design of mechanically welded assemblies and industrial waste collection containers. This strategic move strengthens the Group’s industrial know-how and product offering, consolidating its role in the circular economy.

A new step towards an ambitious growth trajectory

With over 130 years of experience through its long-standing company Rossignol, Mansio (formerly Groupe M53) has established itself as a leading partner in the hygiene, street furniture, and waste management markets. Following the successful integration of Buton Industries (2022), Lebeau Moulages Béton (2023), and MPS Toilettes Automatiques (2024), the acquisition of AZ Métal marks a new decisive step in the Group’s diversification and industrial consolidation.

Carried out with the support of its financial partners, Yotta Capital, Épopée Gestion, SWEN Capital Partners, and BNP Paribas Développement, this transaction enriches the Group’s expertise and broadens its scope of action.

AZ Métal: complementary and distinctive expertise

Founded in 1974 and based in Quévert (Côtes-d’Armor), AZ Métal has developed, under the leadership of Ronan Le Tiec for almost 25 years and with capital support from Sodero since 2022, distinctive expertise in two areas:

With a modern site, state-of-the-art industrial equipment (welding robots, laser tube cutting, rotational molding), and a portfolio of innovative patents, AZ Métal brings product diversification and distinctive expertise to the Group.

An integration that creates synergies for the circular economy

Its integration into Mansio is in line with the diversification and industrial consolidation strategy pursued in recent years. More concretely, this operation will strengthen:

With AZ Métal, Mansio is taking a new step in its development: building a leading industrial SME committed to the circular economy and capable of offering comprehensive and competitive solutions for street furniture, hygiene, and waste collection and recovery in France and internationally.

For the three managers at the helm of Mansio, Joël Bresteaux, Eric Fayol, and Jean-Christophe Pascual: “We are pleased to announce the acquisition of AZ Métal Environnement, a transaction that is in line with our growth strategy. We would like to thank our financial partners for their support and trust, which were essential to the success of this transaction. This acquisition is fully in line with our long-term development plan, with a clear commitment to building a solid, innovative, and responsible French industrial group.”

Ronan Le Tiec, CEO of AZ Metal, said: “I chose to join a well-established and well-structured French industrial group with strong expertise in manufacturing methods. This will enable AZ Metal to accelerate its development in the environmental sector. “

For Mansio’s financial partners: “We are proud to support Joël, Éric, Jean-Christophe, and their teams in this new strategic step for Mansio with the acquisition of AZ Metal. With Group revenues exceeding €50 million, this transaction strengthens Mansio’s position as a leading industrial mid-sized company committed to the circular economy. It illustrates our renewed confidence in its management and our desire to support them in their ambition to build a high-performance, sustainable industrial model rooted in the regions, by enriching their know-how and industrial skills and promoting new commercial synergies.”
